These Terms and Conditions apply to all photography tours, workshops, and related services (“Tours”) organised by Lee Metcalfe Photography Tours. By booking a Tour, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.
1. Bookings and Payment
1.1 A booking is confirmed only when the required deposit or full payment (as specified at the time of booking) has been received and acknowledged in writing.
1.2 The balance of any outstanding payment must be paid by the date stated in the booking confirmation. (usually, 60 days prior to the trip starting). Failure to do so may result in cancellation of your place without refund of any deposit paid.
1.3 Prices are correct at the time of publication but may be subject to change. Any price changes will not affect confirmed bookings.
2. Cancellations and Refunds (Participant)
2.1 If you need to cancel your booking, you must notify Lee Metcalfe Photography Tours in writing.
2.2 Cancellation fees may apply as follows (unless otherwise stated at the time of booking):
More than 60 days before the Tour start date: deposit forfeited.
30–59 days before the Tour start date: up to 50% of the total Tour price forfeited.
Less than 30 days before the Tour start date or non-attendance: 100% of the Tour price forfeited.
2.3 No refunds will be given for unused portions of a Tour, including early departure or missed activities.
3. Cancellations or Changes (Organiser)
3.1 Lee Metcalfe Photography Tours reserves the right to cancel, shorten, or alter a Tour due to circumstances beyond reasonable control, including but not limited to weather conditions, safety concerns, illness, or insufficient participant numbers.
3.2 In the event of cancellation by the organiser, a full refund of monies paid for the Tour (excluding personal expenses) will be offered.
4. Weather and Conditions
4.1 Photography Tours are subject to weather, light, access, and environmental conditions, which may change without notice.
4.2 No guarantees are given regarding specific weather, lighting, wildlife sightings, or photographic results.
5. Participant Responsibilities
5.1 Participants must ensure they are physically fit and capable of taking part in the Tour activities.
5.2 You are responsible for your own equipment, insurance, travel documents, and personal belongings at all times.
6. Safety and Risk
6.1 Photography Tours may involve inherent risks, including but not limited to walking on uneven ground, exposure to weather, and travel in remote locations.
6.2 By participating, you acknowledge and accept these risks and agree that Lee Metcalfe Photography Tours, and associated parties shall not be held liable for injury, loss, damage, or expense except where required by law.
7. Insurance
7.1 It is strongly recommended that participants obtain adequate travel, health, and equipment insurance covering photography activities.
7.2 Lee Metcalfe Photography Tours does not provide personal insurance for participants.
8. Liability
8.1 To the maximum extent permitted by law, Lee Metcalfe Photography Tours shall not be liable for any loss, damage, injury, delay, or expense arising directly or indirectly from participation in a Tour.
8.2 Nothing in these Terms and Conditions excludes or limits liability where such exclusion or limitation would be unlawful.
9. Photography and Image Use
9.1 Participants retain full copyright of their own images taken during the Tour.
9.2 Lee Metcalfe Photography Tours may take photographs or video during Tours for promotional or educational purposes. By participating, you grant permission for such use unless you notify the organiser in writing prior to the Tour.
10. Behaviour
10.1 Lee Metcalfe Photography Tours reserves the right to remove any participant whose behaviour is deemed unsafe, disruptive, or inappropriate. No refund will be given in such circumstances.
11. Privacy
11.1 Personal information provided during booking will be used solely for administration of the Tour and will not be shared with third parties except where required by law.
